AFFINITY leads the way at WARC
The “are awards important” debate is an age old one in the advertising and marketing world. And our position on this is … depends.
Ultimately, there are a handful of award shows AFFINITY places a strong focus on because of the rigour required in order to be recognised. And WARC’s Effectiveness rankings are high on our list because they’re based on results in a series of award shows that demand entrants show the business impact of their entries.
It’s with this background that we’re incredibly proud to announce that AFFINITY has led the Australian charge in the recent release of the WARC Effective 100, being named the #2 most effective Digital/Specialist agency in the world, and #1 across APAC.
The recognition follows wins at a substantial number of global and local effectiveness awards across a range of clients during 2020, including Effies, New York Festivals AME Awards and the ANA International ECHO Awards. The London-based IPA Effectiveness Awards also saw AFFINITY win the Tim Broadbent Prize for Most Effective International Campaign for Tourism Central Coast.
As a result, AFFINITY’s work for the Central Coast was also ranked the 7th most effective in the WARC Effective 100 Top Campaigns, the highest ranking from an independent agency globally. This campaign, along with many of the others we’ve been recognised for over the past few years, perfectly encapsulates what AFFINITY loves doing – a smart, seamlessly connected approach across the entire customer journey, powered by great thinking and data. And it’s work that doesn’t just deliver on key brand metrics, but some serious incremental profit returns for the clients we work with.
What makes us even prouder though, is that this is AFFINITY’s fourth appearance on the WARC Effective 100 since 2017 and our highest ranking yet. It’s a level of consistency we don’t think many other agencies can match. Not bad for an independent Aussie agency, even if we do say so ourselves.
