Fox Teams Up with Angry Birds
What is it? One of the most popular mobile phone games ‘Angry Birds’ has teamed up with 20th Century Fox for a first of its kind Super Bowl commercial. The ad for the new animated film “Rio”, aired during the fourth quarter of the game, featuring an embedded code which players of Angry Birds will use to enter a hidden level within the game, once there users who play and complete the secret Angry Birds level will be entered into a ‘Rio’ competition.
The grand prize winner will be flown to the film’s premiere in Rio de Janiero, which co-incides with the official launch of the Angry Bird app – “Angry Birds Rio.” However to get the unique code viewers must pause the spot and painstakingly watch the ad frame-by-frame.
