What do the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, the 11th Dalai Lama, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis and Movember have in common with Affinity? We all made our way into the world on the 1st of November – that’s right, it’s our birthday!
The 1st of November also marked our one-year anniversary in our new East Sydney digs, which naturally called for a dual celebration before our weekly agency Think Tank session – complete with cake, streamers, hats, party poppers, balloons and bubbles, of course.
One year ago, we also set goals that we’re proud to say we’ve exceeded – all the more reason to celebrate!

So far we’ve taken home 1 MFA Award for Best Use of Data, 1 Prime Award for Best Single Advertisement,1 MSIX Clever Data Award and a Highly Commended ADMA AC&E Award for Best Media Campaign – and it’s not even Christmas yet
TO BECOME A FINALIST FOR AT LEAST ONE INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
To date, we’ve won 1 gold and 2 silvers at the Davey Awards, 3 silvers at the W3s, finalist status at the Spikes Asia Awards, and we’ve been shortlisted at the Global Awards – that’s 6 gongs so far
TO GROW OUR TEAM
We’ve won a stack of new accounts including Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, ORIX Australia, Birch & Waite and Panasonic which let us make a host of strategic hires in our mission to double our staff numbers by the end of 2015.
TO GROW OUR AGENCY FAME
We’ve been shortlisted for the prestigious Campaign Asia-Pacific and B&T Agency of the Year awards, all to be announced soon – plus we were the only Aussie agency to present at the world’s largest interactive digital festival SXSW Texas in March
TO GROW OUR TECH CAPABILITIES
We developed significant intellectual property in data analytics and predictive technology and launched Touchstone Labs to house all of our data smarts and large clients are already coming on board to reap the benefits of our suite of products.
TO THE NEXT 12!
The past 12 months have been our best so far at Affinity and we have no desire to rest on our laurels. We’ve our sights set on more ambitious goals and we aim to celebrate achieving them in 2016. Here’s to another year!
